so I was told they are "Leucocysts" and the equivalent of a human cold-sore......basically it' a virus that all fish have (similar to ich, but not a parasite) and it has a outbreak when water quality or stress levels become unfavorable, however he stated it was a virus, so there's nothing TO do about it


Anyone know anything about these so-called "Leucocysts"?

So anyway, how long am I supposed to use this Paraguard ?????? The directions are very general....it didn't tell me to remove the carbon element but I did anyway, and it says "Treat daily as long as fish show no signs of stress". LIKE WTH???? THAT'S ALL IT SAYS. Not for how long, how often for WC, how MUCH% for a WC, .....IDK if I like Seachem right now.....I paid $10 for bottle of medicine w/ no directions

Seachem Paraguard.......bottled liquid. I like my $5 dissolvable tablets better right now, but hopefully I can figure this dumb isht out for now to at least finish treatment properly

how many days in a row and do you treat a 2nd time again in 2-3 weeks or is it one-and-done stuff?

Just as you've pointed out the instructions are poor so I kind of winged it so to speak.I have left the stuff in the water until the water is changed and that is about once a month.

So once I add it for a few days it will remain "working" until I remove it?

How many days in a row did you add it? 3, 4, more?
