Do many do this?

What type of worms is best for a green terror or similar size fish?

Best worms for fast breeding?

Best food for worms?

Does the box smell? Can I keep indoors?

Thanks in advance,

Philip

So after spending a bit of time doing g some reading online I have decided to try and raise some red wiggler worms for my fish. It just so happens that I found a place online that is local to me so I will be picking up my order soon. Here is where I am buying from.

https://www.wormcomposting.ca

They seem easy enough to raise and breed so I should have an endless supply for my fish. I don't know how often I will feed these worms or how much at a time but I will figure that out as time goes.

I will update this once I get the tub setup and do a video of my first feeding. Hopefully my GT will love them.

Cool idea. I have a place local to me that raises red worms and night crawlers. I just buy from them, it's 3 bucks for 18 worms. But I'm in rural western North Carolina. Just outside the middle of nowhere!

Cool idea.
So far I only feed my cold water fish worms. I am curious what the gts would think of them. Lol

I buy earthworms for my ray from a local fishing bait shop.
I have however started off trying to breed them in the garden.
I made a 2 foot square box and filled with peat moss soil and compost leaf litter.
I added a box of earth worms. They should start reproduction within 1 month.
I just keep it damp and add a little green waste now and then.
By the way, my rivulatus lived earthworms.
All compost must be organic with no added chemicals.

Howdy, I posted a thread in this forum some years ago about my worm farm. You might find it useful. BTW: the worm farm is still active and producing!
