  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
thanks repticland

jvin85- if it was that easy. the parents of these little guys are keeping me busy w/them laying batches of eggs every 2 weeks. Plus no more room in the main tank for another species of fish. anything new that i add in the tank my other fish will harass it until it dies.

hello mfk members. My goldstripe clown is laying eggs & its their 4th batch. every batch of eggs is twice more from the last batch. 1st & 2nd batch the dad ate them. the 3rd batch hatched while i was at work & my other fish ate them. I tried putting a tile where they layed the third batch but no luck which they layed them on another area. any tips on getting the larvae out of the main tank when they hatch? i know their sensitive which i dont want to use a net.

another question, ive set up a 10 gallon nursery tank & have an LED lamp for computers which isnt that strong. would that work for the larvae or do they need a saltwater lighting?

This is my first time trying to raise these fry so any tips would be greatly appreciated.

Try siphoning the fry out.......Purchase 2-4 feet of air tubing........Siphon out he fry either directly into the growout, or into a small jar/bowl, and then gently pour into the growout tank..............And get a batch of baby brine shrimp ready.............

thanks importracer. it would be alot easier if they let me put a tile in their nesting area but anything i put they just push it away so i guess i have to do it the hard way & just keep syphoning.

Bravo!. Buy a 3 foot piece of rigid airline tubing connect to airline tubing to siphon. The rigid tubing is obviously longer and easier to aim.
