Ramshorn , and pond snails are the smaller of the snail species I know of like joe jaskot stated.

During the summer time i use a 55 gallon drum outside collecting my used fish tank water to water my garden vegtables. And in this drum i have aquatic plants an snails an swordtails that breed like crazy. i use them to feed my clown loaches
