But there is something I dont understand.

You are upset about this, but not about Sharkfin Soup (you mentioned you enjoy it...), or the other such atrocities that go on in asia

I see no difference in wanting to kill these animals because they are pests, and catching thousands of sharks a day, hacking off their fins, then throwing them back into the water while they are still alive.

You're wrong there Neal. I like Shark's fin soup yes. I like it because it is delicious. Just like saying u like Candy? So as a food yes SF soup is good. But I do not agree with the way the fins are harvested. So I don't even order SF soup when I eat at a Chinese restaurant. Only time I have it is when I am at dinner and it is served. If the whole shark was harvested and the wole shark was used for other meat to be sold I have nothing against that, but just getting the fins and tossing the dying sharks back into the ocean is just plain wrong.

It's the same way I feel for hunting. If a hunter eats his kill and makes good use of the meat then by all means hunt. But for hunters that kill for the mere "sport" of it. I think they need to be hunted down as well.

Initially yes it would but it really depends on how determined they are to get in. But all you have to do is make sure that you don't leave any food items out and secure your garbage can lid. Once they get the idea there is no free meal here they leave.

They are usually active at night and I rarely see during the daytime. Being a parent myself, I understand where you are coming from. I know they can get nasty but wory about my kids being attacked by a raccoon is the least of my worries. I am more worried for sexual predators and other mother effin' humans. Seriously, u gotta watch out more for people than animals. But I also understand where Neal is coming from as well. My wife hates snakes just because of the way they look but not to the point that she wants to kill them she just doesn't want to see them. I am just happy that her fear of snakes hasn't rubbed off on my kids. Heck, my son is the one that asks me to pass through the reptile section of the pet shops when even I don't usually go through.

Judging people by what they say is the most admirable way. Especially on the net... THe net opens the pathway to the persons inner feelings, generally.

The point is, you suggested we kill all these urban racoons because they are considered problems. I really believe that is ignorance, And I am positive other people reading this do aswell. There is no reason to harm these animals. Those idiots who live there are the problem, They are the reason for the "harm" these racoons have done. Their lack of knowledge is the soul problem.

This is no different than people wanting all the sharks to be killed so they can go surf and swim on the nice sandy beach freely without a care.

While we are at it, Lets kill everything that is considered a problem.. Such as spiders, Snakes, wolves, cyotes, bears, Alligator Gar, Gators, Anything and Everything that comes into contact with we, superior humans, or our pets!

See? Your mentality is flawed. And this means Ignorance.

Wanting to kill these "vermin" is no different than wanting to eradicate homeless people. Would you kill a homeless person because he is digging in your garbage, and attacks you when you run over to tell him to "get away"?
