Eh, I wouldn't use it. They have an ingrediant in there that is commonly used as a pesticide. The ingrediant has also been shown to be slightly toxic to fish. Don't know about you but I wouldn't want to slowly poison my pets with every feeding that I give them.

Which ingredient is that?

Interesting comment.... :screwy:

I guess the years of feeding and the long life from fish being fed NLS prove your point.

I think he's referring to Ethoxyquin which is used as a preservative in spices and fish food as well as in a pesticide. If you use paprika or chili powder, among other things, you consume this. A lot of things are in a lot of other things that we and our pets consume.

As an example, orange oil comes from oranges and orange oil is a pesticide. Garlic is a pesticide.

Until someone tells me what the toxic levels of PPM is for an organism, it's hard to know what to think when people use this product for years with the same fish with no problems.

I do not see how that much food can last that amount of time for your tank. Must be super over stocked and you feed like crazy. Cool blue I like it. This is great food for any fish I highly recommend it. Will improve almost any fish. I have allot of fish and the oldest bucket I have was purchased in April 15th and I still have alot left at this point. Enough to last till about April. That's the small pellets 2mm the 6mm I have since September 9th and I'm only making a dent in that tub.

It is indeed overstocked and I do feed like crazy. 13 3"-10" clown loaches, 6 rainbowfish, 2 plecos, and 5 4"-10" CA/SA cichlids. I'm sure I could feed a lot less, but they're growing like crazy :)
