So tonight when i did my nightly feeding i noticed something peculiar on the underside of my 55gal tank top. I have no idea which species i could be; am currently researching right now... Any help with the id and care of fry & parents would be much appreciated! my current stock includes a pair of each of the following: senegal bichers, silver hatchetfish, african spotted leaf fish; 3 tinfoil barbs; pleco and a bunch of snails. I know the tinfoils will get too big for aquarium am looking at selling them or even giving them away in the near future. I bought them on a spur of the moment purchase and without doing research before hand. The guy @ the LFS (who always seems to be very knowledgeable) said they only get 6" and may max out at 8. Also said they would be perfect for a 55. Wrong... So if u guys could help me out i be much obliged!

i am guessing snails now too after some pic i just looked at. what should i do with it? lol

looks like my mystery snails eggs ^_^ they lay them all over in my hoods.
...what do you want to do with it? do you want more snails? if so l would just leave it and in about a week it will look kinda moldy..witch means its hatching the babies will crawl out and down in to the water on there own.

If you don't want them scrape it off and throw it away

i really dont want more snails in my 55 but i would like to have some more n a different tank. you think there is any way to move these without disturbing them too much? is there a website for care and the length of the incubation period?

hmm yes there are ways to move it and to incubate them..post this in the fresh water invert section lots of people on here can help you out!

from what i remember u cannot get them wet. moisutre is ok but they cannot be submerged. someone correct me if im wrong. ive seen in person at a fish farm that they just carefully scrape the whole piece off by the back and place eggs on a Piece of stryofoam floating on the tank they DO want them to fall in when they hatch.
