^^^joe thanks for the info. tht link is def a good read on apple snails. was not aware tht my ivory snails were a species of apple snails.!

woofy maybe i can get a couple more people to comment on this so we'll both know. I have decide to keep the eggs. i think they r very interesting. I am thinking of setting up a 5 or 10 gal to raise them in. i know several people who would like a couple. maybe i can get a few people on here interested. Would like some more info on moving them. i know u r not supposed to submerge them but has anybody ever misted them down to make sure the clutch does not dry out?

bump..? or should i move this to the invert section as kaosu mentioned??

It might be best if you want more info

I have scraped them off with a razor blade in the past..i have floating breeder boxes that i stuffed with polly fill above the water line and let them float in the tank..it was a mess they got stuck in it!

I have used a ziplock container as well..2-3 layers of paper towels with the bottom one being just damp..check on it every few days and keep it damp on the bottom layer only..make sure its sealed tight and in a warm ish place ( i kept my near my lights)

OR you can leave them there...they are easy to find as they hatch..you can even catch them as they hatch if you watch the clutch close enough..it will turn gray ish and they will start eating small holes in it with in a day of them hatching..when you see this just gently break it off and set them in a ziplock container like i mentioned above and let them finish hatching before moving them to the desired tank. This works best for me..so you dont have to worry about temp differences when removing the young clutch.

great info! i would def like to move them to increase their survival rate. with the stock i have i dont think most/ if any would make it. when u hatched yours approx how many did you end up with? might jus go ahead and move this to the invert section tomarrow if nobody starts posting on this one... As far as my problem with the tinfoils goes, i think i have a very good solution; my fiancee and my buddy are for it at least... I am going to move them to my painted turtles tank. they r too small to really sell because u can find them at petstores the same size and pretty cheap at tht. I dont think my turtle really has a chance at them b/c they r so fast. im gona hope for the best tho. anybody have any ideas?
