Pretty bummed...it was my 2nd biggest.

I bought this loach from a lfs for $20 3 years ago maybe. It was this size already.

That things nice and big. Are you a CSI kind of guy? A little dissection and use of a microscope may clear things up a bit.

I don't have a microscope...but I found nothing in the stomach.

I have no idea how old this fish was. He was one of my fav loaches for sure.

HIGHLY unlikely that the loach died of old age, but probably died from one of those 'random, unexpected' deaths we sometimes hear about.
