DM....awesome tankz my man. ur 450 isn't planted though right? at least not as much as the 125...and other tankz. Very pimp!! Once i get a couple compact fluorescents going, I'm gonna try and catch up wit yaz...lol...good luck there. whats ur pH? I need to find some hardier, hard water plants. My pH averages around 7.5 or so.....not horribly hard...but still up there. I looked every where for those Chain Swords you told me to...only found them once....wasn't able to get them at the time....still lookin though. If you ever crop any of ur plants, and have left overs...let me know! I'll gladly take some to get my tankz going!

Once you get your pc lights get some c02 in there and the ph should lower for ya....c02 lowers ph...even DIY units. ph in my 125planted is around 6.8. will shoot yaz a pm next time I trim....just gave away a ton from some tanks I broke down to make way for the 450

LOL....saw the pics dude....nicccccee!! only gonna get to enjoy mine for 2 days after I get them....then off to florida again on another collecting trip ....they are a lil small so I'm gonna be doing some massive bulking untill they are up to par and can be added to the 450 with the other wild cichla

a little small? LOL!! THEY ARE PUNY! Ur gonna have to do some serious bulkin. I noticed when i got mine though that they had a bare spot on their bottom jaw in the front where it had rubbed or sumptin. And some of them had what looks like fin rot or sumptin...so have ur meds ready....fishin trip eh? Hmmm....send any 'extras' my way aight?! Especially if they are Crenicichla!
