If you are letting the snake get close enough to bite you while road cruising then you are doing something wrong anyways and most snakes can bite right through sneakers...Funny though, that is always the first thing people notice.

i hadn't thought of it that way, but you would think flip flops would restrict one's movement somewhat.

I grew up on the beach so i don't even own a pair of real shoes, all flip-flops all the time I can run backwards up stairs while in flip-flops

and thanks it is a gorgeous one, that is why I kept it. I caught a bunch of other things that night but I but I just couldn't bring myself to let this one go...

Is that a copperhead? You got guts, they are mean suckers my dad works in forested wetlands and he has to where snake boots cause there is so many and he has been bitten at once but the boots stopped the fangs. Scary stuff.

the snake that I am catching in the picture is a cottonmouth and yes the vipers are mine.
