DAMN thats a nice fish, i can get them thats not the problem its just me setting aside th tank space most my tanks belong to my sleeper gobys. Got a couple friends who are pissed that all my large tanks have gobys in them. Got my big pair of MARBLE SEEPER GOBYS a 240 8x2x2 and they cant stand it. Only cichlids a have now are dempseys and grammodes becase they dont require super large tanks. But that might change because im thinking about more dovii and breeding some istlanum. You are messing with my head right now that is a nice fish LOL.
You ever had any pairs or just the male? Did u grow him out or buy him as a adult? What size tank is he in?
Right now, I only have males since I don't have time to monitor breeding istlanum's. A male istlanum is known to kill females and get too aggressive when in heat. I grew out my wild caught one from 2" and the other one, I purchased at around 7" already.
A 4' tank if wide enough is perfect for a single male.
