i guess for me it depends, if he is under the blanket hahah! i dont mind them like at my feet i guess, but i wouldnt want them like right in my face at night lol. in my opinion i wouldnt let my dog sleep in the bed with me though.

I used to let my dog Willie sleep with me. He would lay on the pillow next to mine and snored just like an old man. He kicked me at night too. But he was too psychotic if I made him stay outside, so beyond always having a hairy bed, there wasn't really any problems.
We don't even let our dogs (or cats) in the bedroom, but that's because I have allergies to them. I can stand being in the house with them (with all hardwood or vinyl floors), but if we let them in the bedroom I wake up with major allergy issues.
Im alergic to cats, dogs, and horses. Live on a horse farm, have had up to 6 dogs at one time...currently have 7 cats. (Barns have a way of attracting those things)

Too dirty! The only animals allowed inside the house are the fish. The dogs and the cat all sleep outside.
I guess it depends on the person. However, when you are exposed to parasites, dirt and everything else your animal was exposed to, it becomes a problem. Your animal can expose you to lyme disease and more. If you manage to contract the diseases or parasite, you then ask yourself was it worth it.
When an animal takes over the bed and you are left with minimal room and you are uncomfortable, that is MAJOR problem. An animal should not out place nor rule the owner's bed.

I usually have both my dogs with me at night, sometimes even the cat. Even if i got a small bed no problem cause they keep me warm 
If Sully the Dog wasn't sleeping in bed next to me, he wouldn't know what to do with himself! lol
If i'm home, my cat is stuck to my side. She always has to be in the same room with me and hates it when i'm on the computer.
