lol they are so adorable! mine has his spot he hides in under his driftwood and when i walk to the tank he pops his head out where he dug! he has such a personality! he also swims over to my pictus cat's den just to make him mad just because it doesnt hurt him to get bit lol!

i had like an inch of sand and he would open his mouth and fins and act like a shovel! i just sat there and watched him for like an hour straight! 
lol they definitely weasel there way into small spaces! like that pic that his tail is hangin off the rock! only his head can fit in there lol. he loves to sit there and alot of times when i come in my room turn the lights on and tell my fish hello he swims over there like he is showing off lol
lol yours sounds cute- ours could care less if we're in the room or not, sometimes we think hes dead cause he barely moves even when we jiggle the bubbler around but he eventually shows signs of life and rearranges himself in his little nest lol

my driftwood is still leeching tannins in the water so im waiting on it to get better! i boiled it and soaked it with daily water changes for like a month so i thought it would be gone but its clearing up a little bit
