Raphael Catfish or Pictus Cats?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I prefer pictus because of their activity, but I had a pair once that spent the entire day swimming against the east side of the tank and I don't know why cause it was across the current, I've never kept them with bichirs, but they seem to do ok with SA/CA cichlids.

i appreciate your input but i think i've made my decision, especially with the credibility of someone with 20k+ posts

Haha...don't think post counts really mean much. I like complimenting people's pics;)

It's just my opinion. I've had both fish and I enjoy the active cats, but some times I think, "Why don't you chill some times?" And you really have to come to terms that sedimentary cats may be presume dead at least every other week because they don't move, lol! I was just thinking of your stock. Polys are really chill fish. Sens are the most active, but not as active as Pictus Cats so they might be a bit rambunctious for a Sen. The JD will be fine with either Cats. Raphael has tough skin and the JD won't do too much damage as long as there are hiding spaces. Pictus Cats will be active enough to run away from the JD.
