Well, I have one false jag with five raphaels and an L200 and all is well so far. In a 75g, considering they get on average around 7" and fat, I'd do one jag and three striped raphaels. But that would also depend on your current stocking levels. If it's just the cats, more raphs are in the picture. If the tank already has other fish in it, you'll want to list them. If it's the Oscar and Pleco in your stock list, I'd advise against adding any fish at all. The Oscar/Pleco team will easily outgrow a 90 gallon. Don't believe me? Check your nitrAtes.

 Most of your threads are about adding a raphael cat. But you don't have room for one, and you know that or else you would have quit asking about them and bought one a long time ago. So is this just a way to express your raphael-ness until you have more tanks or upgrade?
I agree, although I do believe that water quality could be properly maintained with an O and a pleco in a 90 gallon, but if the pleco is a common, it will eventually need a 24" width anyway.

He is the only raphy in there? It is a rarity to have a solo specimen that active. Although, having a lot of cavework and wood does help a lot. Never let that fish go, man. Very cool to have an active raph. The best (p. armulatus) one I have comes out as soon as the tank lights go off. The amblydoras nauticus are more given to being seen during the day.

Yes I do only have 1 in the tank. I've got some driftwood and lots of caves I put in for them. The one guy I NEVER see is my butterfly pleco. I saw him for the first time in 3 months the other day. I was so excited because I thought he was long dead. Its funny to see a fish suddenly after a long period of time and see how much they have grown. Also funny how you never see them eat! I'll have to take a video next time I have time to sit down and watch him swim around and play with the pleco's. I do agree that spotted raphaels are very inactive and boring to watch.

currently have one jaguar catfish left.... out of the original 6 I purchased. When they were in the same hospital tank as the 3 raphaels I had in at the same time- (mind you the raphaels I'm talking about is over 8'' long... 2 of them over 10'')

the very first day the jags were put in, they immediately pushed the rapahels out of the pvc pipes and kept them out.

They were the real bosses so imagine 5'' jaguar vs 10''+ raphael quadtripled its weight class and that has body full of thick armor... the jags still managed to keep their pvc takeover for the entire few weeks they were in so I had to go out and get more pvc pipes to keep the big guys happy.

fast foward to today- I accquired two more ancient spotted raphaels that came with their black pvc pipe home that they were fond of few months back... and the last female jaguar I have left has given those two spotted the boot and took over that black pvc pipe ever since no other cat has been able to get her out of that one. She never leaves the cave only sticks her head out to feed.

They can co-exist given food source and hiding spots are all spread out... though the raphaels are more active than the jaguar and for the stocking question- focus on getting jaguar numbers you want then get the raphaels later as they're easier to accquire than the jaguars alone

This is off topic, but wouldn't "quadtrippled" mean quadrupled x trippled (since it is trippled four times), which would be something like dodecadrupled?
