Yeah, we around the Seattle area are kind of spoiled. 99 cents at THE LFS (you all know which one I mean) plus you can see pics of the adults produced them thanks to Modest Man's pics from when he visited the gentlemen in question.

I have had two male dovii that I have grown to about 11-12". Both were LFS bought, originating from different wholesalers, and both were phenomenal specimens. Maybe I just got lucky.
Just a little update, I talked to Mel and he removed about 500 dovii today and took them to A Place For Pets. He still has lots left, and Joe (dmopar) can have as many as he wants.
Can't beat free fish from a 20" male. Joe can also get multiple fish and pick the best male of the group, or get his own breeding pair.
