to help this thread out, not recent pics but rapps first and second batch..

Nice man. At what size did the 1st and 2nd batch start to show their Kelberi spangles?

Is the one in the last two pics a 1st batch?

the one in the last two pics is from the second batch. I'm you give them kelberis a stress free environment and pump them with food they will develop fast. the guy from the second batch showed his spangling at a young age. Rapps first bath still needs work on the spanglings.

Wow, nice lookin fish. Makes me sad that I decided to skip out on the Rapps order:(

Yeah, your group of six that you wanted would have been quite a dent in your pocket though. It's not too late to order at least one though. You thinking about ordering some Orinos still?

Nice. Even with the flash, I can tell those guys are a lot lighter in color than my guy.

just have an older samsung dig camera not sure how to get better pics .I to tell you the truth like darker ones that i have seen with dark dorsel and bright spangling.

With the huge hype leading up to Rapps getting this new shipment, I'm suprised more people aren't posting their new pickups. Where are all those Cichla enthusiasts at??!!:D

Those point and shoot cameras aren't the easiest to take fish pics with. One suggestion I have is to point the camera at a downward angle towards the fish. This will help eliminate the flash reflecting off the glass.

I'll post my good ol 4th batch. I think the prices were to rich for most people this go around. But the prices were right on the money if you ask me. Some got lucky last go around and of course the dedicated have what they want, what they have don't die usually when taking care of, and usually we raise what we have no switching up! I would love to see some more of the new pick ups as well but of course it's going to be a few months before they show any real potential. I will post up later.

What's up Mike! I didn't know that you got any 4th batch. How many and what size? How are the 3rd batchers doing?

Yeah, I know they were too pricey for a lot of people. Understandably so. The prices weren't a suprise though.
