Rapps Kelberi Picture Thread

Thanks Tyler. I hope that he keeps improving steadily. I just can't wait to get him off feeders. Is yours completely off now? He takes tilapia about every 5th time I try it, and actually eats it, but the rest of the time he ignores it. I think that it's how it enters the water. I'm going to try silversides next.

Here are some pics of my 2 kels. Pictures show no justice they have a lot more gold around their bars in person they are about 4" in size. enjoy

Wow! That one has a ton of gold showing in his tail already. Gonna be awesome to watch these guys grow.

mine only eats feeders. He doesnt even look at anything else. I dont want to starve him yet because im afraid my orinos would bully him around if he wasnt eating.

He will eat shrimp everytime I feed it now - he eats 2 or 3 pieces. He still eats feeders though unfortunately because my Ocell from snookn will only eat live. That's a really good sign that he eats Tilapia every 5th time you try. I'll bet you'll have him off live in no time.

Wow, very nice. These are from the new Rapps batch? All these small guys I am seeing look a lot different and lighter in color than my 7 incher.

Thanks and yes they are from Rapps 4th batch. From what I have experenced with these Minas Gerias Juvis, they tend to darken upa bit as they mature. As for feeding them, they will get feeders untill they get big enough to go with the Rio Meta orinos and the Zullie which are about 8-8.5". Im feeding my Orinos and Azul very lightly lol.

So does anyone else notice the 3rd batch and maybe the second batch have HUGE eye's or is it just me? My smallest Kelberi not from either batch has HUGE eyes's but then I thought someone else said this about there Kels as well. Or maybe i am just staring to mush at this tank.
