Rapps' Kelberi Update

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Listen to Mike :D His are already twice the size of mine. After seeing his this weekend, mine are getting at least one good feeding on feeders a day as well as a couple feedings of frozen brine shrimp and bloodworms. As long as you keep giving them some dead foods, you won't have to worry about weening them off feeders when they get larger.

BTW, nice fish ;)

Paul left out that we recieved all of our Cichla on the same date. And this does not mean don't feed the other food option's continue to feed these as well.

I have a tank with three 7''- 8'' all are taking pellet's and krill readily. I didn't have to train them they just took them with very little effort. There main food was feeders and I always offered other foods while maintaining there needs with the feeders. Right now there all on Massivore and feeder's for treats.

Feeders make up ~80% of my baby cichla diet. I like to feed blackworms with a turkey baster to make them less shy and, rather than run to the back of the tank when I approach, they come right up to the front. Just a little trick I picked up!

man, i thought mine got big

Here's an update on the Kelberi (see first post for other pics). They're looking great! Still have them on feeders. They're about 4" right now, but growing like weeds...
