It's not the water pressure that makes it impossible. It's a tropical fish that lives in really deep, cold, dark, oxygenated water. I think the combination of all those factors is what makes it nigh impossible. They do come to regular depths periodically, I think to spawn, and that's how they end up in fishermans nets. Forget what the documentary was that I saw them in, maybe Living Seas.
