I have just been in contact with someone who can get me 3 rare species of dwarf black bass. He is liscensed dont worry. The species are Redeye Bass, Shoal Bass, and Suwannee Bass. I am thinking of starting a breeding project with them, not for me to benefit, but for the hobby to get some new fish. The fish are all going to be shipped from Florida.
1.How would i breed them? Is it possible in the aquarium? I have:
155 gallon bowfront
-1 orino 14"
-1 broko 12"
-1 scomb 10"
-1 vulture cat 14"
-1 kelberi 8"
-1 geophagus 10"

90 gallon 4x1.5x2
-oscar 10" and 3"
-kelberi 7" and 5"
-orino 5"
-pleiozona 5"
-4 severums 4"

2. Would they get aggressive while breeding?
3. Can i breed them in an outdoor pond in Nj climate?

First of all, no offense, but I would start with taking care of "in house" business first. Your two tanks are way overstocked.
The bass breeding project should not be attempted in anything other than a pond - even a man-made one, but I would take care of current affairs first. That's my honest opinion.
But, if you are able to give them a pond, that would be cool - but, do keep the species separate - so you'd basically need a pond for each species. No idea how cold hardy they are.

I am aware my tanks are overstcoked, if you look in my threads i have various sale threads up

If they are coming from Florida, adjusting to NJ seasons could end in a fish kill IMO. I would recommend species-only tanks or ponds. I would say ponds, however, as they may not reach breeding size for a while, and they could definitely outgrow their tank by then, unless you're putting a breeding pair in a 225-300 gallon. Also, bass are pretty notorious nest defenders, so expect aggression. That's why the best bass fishing for giants is pre-spawn. If you're serious about the project, look to have heated ponds and be ready to offer them a trigger (ie. season change). I would also recommend having natural sand collected from a natural waterway. You will need a lot to make sure they can build a deep enough nest, but it should definitely help them in feeling comfortable. Often times they will spawn in bullrushes, so having emergent pond plant "forests" would also aid them. I support you completely in this project! I would LOVE to keep these species in the pond I'm constructing. Keep us updated!

You could put them in my pond ;) lol. If u dont mind id love to know who this guy is so maybe I can put some in my pond to see if I can get them to breed. But id have to research first if the lmb will eat them. I might be able to start a smaller pond on my land behind my main pond to breed them. Text me if u dont mind

Thanks guys, I am seriously considering this. i made a rough skecth of the length and width of the pond. It is a little over 300 gallons, has a breeding ledge for the bass and a deep part for them. i will have it densely packed with cambomba for the fry ot hide in. I drew 2 diagrams, the first one showing the long side 7', the second showing the short side 5'

They all live in subtropical tempuratures and are pretty hardy. i would think they should be able to survive the winter fine.
