no way that fish is a jag. you sure it wasn't labelled as xanthix honduran red point (HRP)? that i would believe and would be something I could see Ken breeding and selling.

:)

Here is my Male True Rivulatus 3.75" In a couple pics he's challenging the gold saum.

dude i'm sorry but that is 100% normal white convict... whoever misled you into thinking it was a xanthic jag was clearly misguided as well. i think the opinions are unanimous in that regard. it's a nice fish, but it's a convict.

Awsome thread. It's nice to see some uncommon Cichlids for a change.

IMO the fish in question is definitely a Pink Con. No big deal - a lot of us have bought fish labeled as something else.
Yeah but not from a repituble(sp?) vendor like ken. That's a major rip if he did that on purpose

It makes zero sense for Ken to do that. Mistakes happen and he has always stood behind his fish and I'm sure he will in this case and take care of any unhappy customers. Why would he purposely sell a few fry for $25 and risk having a bad reputation for a couple hundred bucks. In a month or 2 everyones fry would be big enough to ID and it would be out quickly.

Considering 1) a few dozen white fry appeared in a jag brood; 2) it was the frist time those two particular jags bred and 3) Ken doesn't have any pink con in the hatchery....I would have reached the same conclusion. It's just too weird...
