Rare Fish December 2016

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
you couldn't be more vague? anything from cichla kelberi to chitala ornata for now., or alone, to a school of guppies.,
Sorry for the vagueness. I'm looking for something that would work in a 60 gallon tank. Somethng unique/rare that won't outgrow the tank, or at least won't outgrow it quickly. Also preferrably a bottom fish. I started looking here because you have a lot of cool, rare fish. I have some geos and clown loaches and two plecos in my tank currently

Any updates on the Geo's

Thanks for the clarifications. but still the possibility is very broad. 60 gallon is not a very big tank., even for the existing fish you have. did you know clown loaches can reach 18-20" in the wild? Of course they grow very slow and not that big in captivity. The geos are nice, they could probably spawn in that tank setting. there are many nice silver dollar types that would look nice in an all south american set up, excluding the clown loaches.

Lutjanus argentimaculatus - these were caught in creeks in light brackish water - there are landlocked ones in a man made lake in Australia. After they reach 12" they turn a dark maroon/red color, and can reach 36" in the wild. 4-5" size. $75.00 each

Side story, don't know how many of you guys remember the story in Alemeda, California back in the early 2000s., Mingwei had a 15" one with his tiger fish and datnoids in a 700 gallon in his store.

Caranx sexfaciatus 4" eating pellets $75.00 each
Caranx ignobilis - giant trevally 5-6" $125.00 each
Again, look up Lake Tal in the Phillipines they raise these in pure freshwater there and there is established populations in the lake in pure freshwater. The ones I have are kept in light brackish right now.

also look up on youtube for these jacks, people in Asia keep them with datnoids and arowanas., super cool. Also side story, in Honolulu, there is a place they keep them with Koi.
