Well I used to have an oscar in a 55, years ago, I loved him, he was the biggest wet pet I've had and was very interactive. One night the power went out and he was without a heater/filter for hours and hours and ended up dying a day later.

My question was, is there a rare kind of oscar I could look for?

I'm not really a fan of common tiger or lutino which I can find for 3$ just about every pet store around here.

Thank you :)

There's also the Bloody Oscar, the Lemon Oscar, the Short-Bodied Oscar, and the Astronotus Crassipinnis.

I'd love a Astronotus Crassipinnis or bloody but I have no idea where I could aquire one. :/ Not a big fan of the lemon.

You life just outside of Sac, I'm sure you've got some awesome lfs's there that would order for you given they had a connection to rarer fish species... (I'm from Cen Cal too)
