I've just bought one that looks like one of these... but I'm not shure if it is wild... He is black with grey stripes... the only thing which suprised me is that he doesn't have an "eye" on his tail.You can see a small grey dot but not as much noticable as in otcher oscars which a saw...He is about an 2,5 inch now so I think that this "eye" should apear.

i have a dragon oscar, looks really kool. has really super long fins, kinda like a betta. i'd never seen them before so i decided to pick one up.
Wow, thats rare. Oscar nowsday got too many varities...got full red, full green and full white...Got mixture of it also.
Well Shoot... I can get Wild Oscars, and Astronotus Crassipinis (sp?).. Some look like the rare oscars, and the wild ones sometimes have longer finnage. Didn't bother messin with them though.. Messy lil buggers.

COOL!i like veiled oscars, but lots of people say theyre ugly. my lfs breeds them and they r very hard to find. i love oscars and like to buy small 2" ones and watch em grow to 12" or so. they r the neatest fish for the price!
