My experience with Arowana's is very limited.

I would like to welcome some expert's opinion on the subject.
Currently 10" and growing.

Beautiful aro

It is in deed. I became fascinated with a YouTube video a client sent me and I wanted to find one, but I am not convenience as yet. It is the reason why I am looking for some more information on them. People claim to be one of the most expensive and rare Arowana's there is and I am a collector so it caught my attention. :)

Rare Platinum Arowana

It is a silver aro. Not sure if it is a plat. Look like it but something seems off. It may be a high shine or a wtt aro.

What makes it a rare Platinum Arowana? There are no many around in the world but If you see something is off maybe the picture was taking too close or something. I don't know for sure. feel free to elaborate a bit more hopefully we can come up with a solid description of them.

What is a wtt aro?

Description of a Common Silver Arowanas from a customer in Asia "The edge of the fins are red, they have a purple/green spot behind the gills and the fish back is dark."

A wtt would be white tank treatment fish. They get light when they are in white tanks. If it was a platinum I don't think the spot behind the gill plate would be there or as visible. Also I think the fins wouldn't be as pink. If I remember correct the plat aros have more of a "powder coat" instead of shining coat like that fish. I am think more of a high shine aro. The high shine has the crime silver scales brighter and the go higher in the body sometimes on the back. At least that is what I recall the difference is. I am not an expert on those morphs, but from the pics that I have seen that is what I think. I know hao has had a high shine silver aro. I have not, but I have had many many aros.

Looks to be wtt, has visible pink in the tail fins.

Also I see some greens around in the body. I think platinum don't have that. Still a nice fish. Do you have it? How long if you have? What is the tank colors all white? Or is it in a different darker tank.

Sorry my phones auto correct sucks. Throws random words in place of what I want to say.

Thanks so much. It is definitely more info than I can get from other sources.

In reference with the gill plate, I can't really see it as very visible but I get your point.

I think the fins wouldn't be as pink - I can't really see the pink on this picture. However I see most fish have the pink on this spot as it is end of its fish vertebral spine ?

I don't really know about the "powder coat" coloration this is very new to me as well as the high shine silver scales. It could be very well known on the Arowana's world. I like to know more if possible.
I think you had made some very interesting points to discuss and I thank you for your time.
