imo they dont even compare to a clown loach - pretty ugly but thats just my opinion

yeah, if you like the nemo coloration, then you'd better stick with the colorful fish. Many of the fish we keep on monsterfishkeepers are not pretty, like the lates niloticus, many of the large catfish such as pacmans, etc...but this loach, even though not as showy as chromobotia macracanthus (clown loach), they make up for in size and verocity. Just imagine a 30" one, sucking up 3" feeders for snack with the gold coloration and mosaic pattern!

WOw COol stuff! Which part of PHilippines? I'm Half pinoy too, but living in SIngapore since i was born! haha but when i go back to cebu for holidays, cant seem to find any nice LFS there.. any recommendations? :grinno:
I live in Canada but usually go to the Philippines during Dec TO Feb. Cartimar would be the head start if you wanna go looking for fish. Not really familiar with fish store over there as when I go to the Philippines I forget about the fish stuff and just go all out partying.

dang bro ! nice pickups !

Dang nice leptobotia, such an awesome fish. Imagine those guys when theyre 2ft+

Thanks you two. Yep I can't wait for that day to come as I'm getting 5 more. A school of 20" loaches ae just awesome. Got tired of growing out regular clown loaches. Why but a $250 9-12" slow growing clown loach when a fast growing royal clown loach cost less.

I'm tired of keeping cute fish anymore that grow very slow. Lol! I'm a monster fish keeper and monster looking fish are what's on my list. I like clown loaches too but just got tire of growing out a small one. I do still have some 7x 10-12" fat clown loaches that I'm keeping though. Big ones always looks great. I'm gonna make them school together soon.

the ones you have were collected by me also, I sold some to a local wholesaler exporter friend of mine in China then he re-exported them.
Very nice!!!! He got some larger ones too but he's not selling them. My supplier got this guys from Thailand but probably got them from your guy.
Can't wait for my RCL to get to that size.

I agree completely!!!! May not look pretty but it still looks good to me. To be honest I like the pattern and golden color of this compare to the regular clown loach.
