RARE "WHITE" DOVII

What a load of crap. I'm sorry...but I just read that post on Craigslist and looked at the pictures FP posted.

The fish is 7"....yet he knows it is fertile, the females grow teeth. that it will grow a nice "horn" or hump. And I don't care what we think his intentions were for posting Chris's photo of the Dovii. It IMPLIES that this is what the adult of that particular cross will look like only "now imagine it being almost white." I don't breed hybrids (intentionally...it has happened) But I am pretty sure that it requires successive attempts at line breeding and selective breeding to get a "product" that consistently throws the same outward appearance. Where's photos of these toothed glass banging white monsters?

The pictures that FLowerPower posted DO look almost all white. It's called overexposure...and it has ZERO resemblance to a Dovii and only looks like some kind of a vieja/paratheraps.

Total crap. But hey, God bless the Whopper. It's all in marketing the sizzle, right? My two cents. Get a real Dovii.

I read somewhere that he is banned for some reason. Its a shame given the content he has provided here. I believe its been over a year.
 
So were my initial doubts about this "hybrid" merited? I was giving the member with this fish a chance. I didn't want to come across cynical. Like I said a few times before, I didn't think it was possible for these two species to breed. Is it really possible? Even if this specific fish isn't what it is advertised as, I'd still like to know if a hybrid like this is possible. I wouldn't want to breed one myself, just curious and a bit confused.
 
The cl add has been deleted, this guy hasn't shown his face here even though he's a member and I even told him about this thread when we spoke on the phone. So Al, I'd say that confirms your doubts.
This bs artist has been flushed out.
 
If you are going to scam someone on selling the sizzle...I own an advertising agency, it's what we do...then at least pick a name that would give it some pizazz rather than the fairy-tail approach about "now imagine if THIS fish was white". LOL Call it the "Arctic Fox". That would be sexy enough for this glass banging monster 7" fish.

Too funny. Stuff like this that makes the hobby fun.
 
Honestly I flagged it. To imply it is a "RARE WHITE DOVII" would suggest a pure Dovii with different pigmentation. The fact that these are just hybrids he should be saying Argentena and Dovii Crosses, but that probly wouldn't sell as good.

He isen't going to post here and I guess Ed isen't going to reveal his identity. The guy is a CL Troll and a crook, nothing more.:irked:
 
He's FISHKING on mfk and FISHKING111 on WW. I thought I mentioned that. Please don't assume I know the guy personally. All I did was call the # on the cl add and ask a few questions.
I don't know if it's like this in other cities but in ny you always run into the same people on cl.
