rat pups

people feed snakes live mice all the time, and polys aren't too far off. Personally I wouldn't care for it, but like someone else said w/e works its your tank. I would be checking my water as mice have quite a bit of blood to give off in the water compared to any feeder and you can end up growing the wrong bacteria in your water.
If you're into the hunter/hunted thing I've heard of people giving bichirs small frogs, live shrimp.... salamanders, bugs....

Okey, I should mentioned that it is thawed rats. I have a gallon of rat pups or so in the freezer.

I change 2/3 every week and clean the pumps (Eheim) at the same time. And feeding with pups, twice a month doesn't spoil the water.

Entertainment? Yes, I like to see my reptiles, spiders, insects and fishes eat. Eating is a good sign of health.

Why? Because I like to see if it is any alternative that work. And if a bishir in nature, found a dead mammal in the water, it will eat from it. Rip off pieces of meat like crocs, by roll.

And the 3" channa is a problem eater, it will only eat red mosquitos. Not beef heart like the other one.
