rate my bait: catfish

i've been hunting big cats recently. what do you think of my bait? i'm done with stink dough.

mackeral, rainbow trout and bass soaked in cow and pork blood and garlic extract from seachem. going to be adding chicken liver as well.

the trout and bass was ruined when our freezer was messed up so i figured i'd not put it to waste. the garlic i used to soak my finicky jag's pellets in.

fishing with a spinning reel and 18lb braided catline. using treble hooks.

it doesnt gross me out in the slightest so it works for me.

i think it will have tremendous scent to it!

with the remaining blood and goo make a chum. also letting it sit out for a while wouldnt hurt.

hot dogs soaked in garlic powder and vanilla exstaracts.....and chum the water with a small bag of dog food, make sure you soak the dog food a day before you go fishing as well as the hotdogs.

after your done mixing, let it sit in the sun for a day or two, just to really get that stink going. but it sounds like a winning combination. and i would go with some heavier line, you just never know what your gonna hook into.

exactly one time fishing for bluegill caught a 10 pound catfish.

been fishing for cats a long time,the best thing ive found is the chicken liver soaked in either cow,s or chicken blood with the garlic but ive alway let mine sit for a few days to get a little stink to it,wouldnt worry bout heavier line as long as your drags loose

The best bait for channels by far is live/fresh dead crawfish. For blues crawfish are good but cut fresh shad or skipjack. Flatheads the best bait is live bullhead catfish!

ive also got alot off little sunfish with a trouble hook in them,idk what it is but the bullheads go nuts for them
