TLC for the KOK....I feed mine hikari staple, hikari gold, grand sumo, live gosht shrimp and live bloodworms and he has a nice kok...It's mostly in there genes though..I read this thing about them that only 50% of a batch of fry will be male and only 20 will grow the KOK...Even if there dad had a huge KOK...
 
On that fish I dont see much hope for anything but a hard kok, and only time and food will tell. Mine love raw chicken liver, market shrimp, ching of all types and hikari bio / gold / staple. Getting them onto kens to get away from all of the hikari. Once what I have is gone I wont use it anymore. Price is main reason, kens has good quality and even better prices and my CA/SA are doing great on it. Best of luck with it and keep us updated.
 
lol nope. I've been switching over to Ken's but order the smaller pellets by mistake so only fry and africians and smaller sa/ca's have been getting it. I actually don't lie the huge kok's just want one a little bigger.

depends mostly if its in his genes...only time will tell....how is the flower horn doing with that albino oscar?
 
He's not in with the Oscars anymore, only the first week while I was getting his tank ready. I did drop him in the 220 a few weeks ago while moving tanks around. My female festae fell in love with him but he couldn't careless. If you see something dangling from the festae's tail...it's her panties.
