Just got this little guy(or girl).
Please tell me what you think of it. Its very young but still looks pretty nice. Also, how fast do flowerhorns grow? The pic is a little blurry. It makes the flowerhorn look a little beat up.

Just like most cichlids they grow fast. I bought mine at about 1" long and a yr and half later he is 11" and for prolly 4months of his life he was not getting water changes to often.

Its ok to keep them with an oscar right?

Flowerhorns can get pretty nasty after they reach like 4 or 5" Given enough space they should be fine though.

ok thanks. So can you give it a rating?

I don't know much about the rating system, because I think it's bogus lol.

It all boils down to how much an individual likes a certain fish. I think that one will develop some awesome colors, and looks like it will be an attractive fish.

negative. never combine flowerhorns with oscars. both are cichlids and have territorial tendencies. keeping them together inside a tank without dividers would mean disaster to any or both fish. better keep them on separate tanks

thank you very much. I really do hope it looks good when it grows up. I got it for $5.99. It took me over half an hour to pick it out.

If I see any signs of bad aggression, I'll seperate them. Thanks for the information.
