Terrific color and terrific fins but his body is very compact compared the the gts I've owned. Beautiful nonetheless

So that's the reason huh. So you kept the female or did you give both away?My male gt almost killed my female a couple of times and they where starting to outgrow their tank

Hey I appreciate it for being so critical! It's my first GT so I didn't have anything to compare it to. I do agree about the trailing fin not being there yet and I can easily say he's around 3" without measuring the caudal fin. He is currently 8 months old. When you say thin, should I try upping his portions? Any tips diet-wise? Thank you for the kind wordsTo me he looks about 2-3 inches. Even the sd is bigger in the background in the 1st pic. I would give him a 4 for now because he just an average looking gold saum. For being 4-5 inches his orange on the top and back fin are very thin. No trailing top fin. He seem thin for 4-5 inches. He does have alot of potential as he matures. Good luck with him!
