based on some reasearch and other peoples experience the avrage male dovii gets 16-20 inches, avrage 18 inches... I know some get like 8 inches bigger but i am talking about the avrage joe dovii... I don't have experience with a large dovii but i have done lots of reasearch and some people that have raised them many times said this is an AVRAGE... the Huge ones do need tanks way bigger than avrage doviis...

little update here, ive had 4 or 5 spawns now with 3 batches making it free swimming but ive had no room for the fry so they get picked off, i had so many midas fry at the time it was silly!
anyway heres some shots, they are both living in the 300 wide in my signiture in a community atm, the male is 11 to 12 inches and the female around 7 inch.
