Rate My Tank!

Hello Everyone,
I want everyone to rate my tank, i am open to all constructive criticism. I have just finished changing over my tank setup to a Lake Tanganyika bio type. It was set up South American before so i am sure you can imagine the effort it has taken me to totally reconstruct the whole inside of the tank.
Specs of the tank:
-60 Gallon Tank
-3 chamber sump trickle water filter w/ bio balls
-CPR over flow box
Tank Mates:
-5 Frontosa
-1 A.Compressiceps
-1 A.Calvus
-2 Electric Yellows (i just couldn't part with these when i changed the tank)
Tank Decorations:
-Texas Holey Rock
-Some Limestone
-Regular White Gravel (switching to a Sand/ Aragonite mix very soon)

looks good to me but your gonna be in for an upgrade before too long with 5 frontosas

i knew that would be a problem in the future, but i was told they were some what of slow growers and that they do better in colonies so i took the chance. what do you think?

i would say a 7, because there's room for improvement.
i'll start with the substrate. since u have light colored rocks, it'll look much better if u contrast that with a dark substrate.
also, the fake plants are just not doing it. african cichlids tanks don't need plants to look good.

are you thinking black sand or a brown sand? i went to home depot and looked at play sand but it was brown, i didnt think it would look very good. does any one have pics of this???? FYI the plants are gone now, i have been going back and forth about that for a couple of days. thanks for clearing that up for me

Black sand would look bad ***!!! Nice set up btw.

I think the substrate works. I'll give it a 7 since it's nice looking but the fish are all still tiny.

ive been reading this term "a show tank" being used to describe fish tanks, someone clear that up for me. what does that mean and what constitutes a show tank
