yes because i know ive gotten silver saums that were listed as a different Latin name than gold saums. now Im confusing myself. idk nice fish though i love all fish that are "similar" to saums like blue acara and whatnot. i try not to get into classification because it is always changing and by the time i learn all classes, they will be updated and changed. thanks for the info though

Well, these were supposed to silver saums, but the guy at the place I ordered from got it wrong. So upon speaking to the manager I found out they were stalsbergi.

This kinda forced me to read up and read up I did! There is very little on stalsbergi so I am forever learning.

I hear you though with the latins, especially for this genus. Its forever changing!

I've been wanting and wanting and has always been on my want list: Andinoacara stalsbergi. This guy was selling many frys on Aquabid bout couple years back...but he want me to tell him how much I wanted to pay so I did and he never replied back, Guess it wasnt enough for him.

Im happy for you and sad for me, I hope you can find another or more and breed them, this hobby needs them.

I feel like a lucky SOB! Especially 'cos I lucked out on this one. Lovely specimin IMO!

My plan is to breed them and distribute them across the UK. I think there may even be a profit in it for me !! I have two atm, but I have contacts!!

You shoulda hit up rapps. He had some, sold out now but, I presume he'll get more. A few members on here bought the last from him fairly recently. So I'm not the only one!

Thanks, but Rapps is closer to you, sounds wierd huh? Even though you are in another country. His shipping quotes for me (this is for 2-3 fishes bout 3-4") is $100.

Well I didn't pay the shipping I paid an extra price on top of the fish though.
at 3-4cm i paid the equivelant of $25 per fish. and then a delivery cost of $20.

Still worth IMO

oh ok that makes sense. it is well worth it

Unfortunately, Hammer is the best fish ever! Hahaha

Honestly I'd like to reserve judgement until he gets bigger but I'll just have to say he's looking Fantastic!
