Rate of Growth

It depends on the size of the tank, and your feeding as well. If you're power feeding it then it might grow up to 3-4" inches a month.

what do you mean by power feeding? and what kind of food will you power feed it with?Ü

Power feeding means putting the fish in a small aquarium(ex. 10 gal.) and put guppies, worms, goldfishes etc. in it.That takes the fish less time to catch it's food.I did that to my alligator gar and it really works, from 6 inches to 10 inches in 1 week by feeding 10 gold fish feeders every 3 days(since he's eating 6 of them a day),but I'm not doing that anymore cause everyone knows that this monsters can grow up to 10 feet, so I put him into a 50 gal tank for a moment with a silver arowana and will transfer them into a 300 gal tank when they grow up(I might get bigger than that if there's still enough space for the aquarium). You might want to go to aquatic predators site and read more about power feeding.
