That's a pictus right?

Nope...they're related though. 4 Line Pimelodella's have lines instead of spots. Heres some pictures to see the difference between the two. I have one and I love watching him cruise around the tank when its feeding time. His body looks like that of a shark...excluding the head ofc. The ones for sale on livefishdirect that Lusus_Naturae posted has the wrong scientific name. The real scientific name for the 4-Line Pimelodella's is "Pimelodella Blochii".

Birchir and knife fish will eat anything live and smaller than their mouth when they are hungry and usually hunt at night. Get something bigger then them if you want them to stay alive. Silver dollar, red hook, angelfish or anything which look tall and broad is good. I got some koi's and birchirs in same pond but separated in different compartment. Somehow the birchirs went over and eaten some of my koi's and now is real huge about 18 inches.

Alright, I changed up my stock a little bit.

2 or 3x Polypterus Senegalus
2x Pictus/4 line Pimelodella Catfish
5 x African Butterfly
2x Ropefish

I think that this is about as big as I can go before overstocking. I think this is going to be the stock i'm going with though. I'm just curious, won't the senegals get big enough to eat the butterflies? I've never had them before but from what I've seen they don't get too big. Also taking more suggestions on what I should do to the stock.
