i've read elsewhere that green matter is good for lungfish, and since cabbage is abundant and very cheap in our are i thought it would be practical for me to buy those.

If the lungfish will accept it then go for it. But also don't forget their meaty diet as they need that too.

yeah i know. thanks a lot. but in your experience what veggies do lungfishes readily accept?

anacris (sp.?), anubias, algae, algae wafers, water wisteria, etc...... aquatic plants

mine won't eat anything green. it used to eat algea wafers when it was a small pup. now it looks at me like i'm a dumars when i try to feed it them.

try planting his tank with live plants achor them with plant weights, rocks, etc... if he eats them good if not your tank looks good try that

Mine will eat algae waffers, sometimes zucchini, and shelled peas. I found out about the peas just last week and he seems to like them a lot!
