Raw Diet

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
yeah this diet is very hard to do....pretty much just eat fresh fruits veggies and nuts....no dairy meats or bread. You can cook food but not over 108 degrees. there is actually restaurants popping up that are "raw" and a there is a facility that has used this diet to treat people with type 2 diabetes.
its a different lifestyle completely. We are doing because my wife and I are starting training for a marathon and we wanna cleanse our systems and shed a few pounds. Without my juicer, I doubt I could make it more than a day or so.

You'll both get pretty sick for the first month depending on how your diets are now while your body detox's all the beef and stuff out of your system.

For lack of a better way to put it - you'll be having 8-10 bowel movements a day until your body adjusts as well, and still 5-6 a day when your bodies adjust.

It's not for everyone, but if you can tough it out it will definitely help improve your ability to do cardio - and has somthing to do with reducing lactic acid build up in the muscles.

I'd say go for it, but do it understanding that it's going to make you feel like crap before you see benefits - and keep in mind that it's not cheap. It's very very time consuming - you'll spend at least an hour per meal eating due to how much you have to ingest.

My sister in law is only 100 lbs. and I couldn't believe watching her eat 5 or 6 water melons on top of 2 or 3 heads of broccoli ect...

i am about 80% vegetarian already and we dont buy packaged or processed foods either. But we have never went full raw. Im sure its going ot be hard but we are only shooting for a week or 2 to get a full cleanse and we are taking off work so we will have plenty of time.

there is a great movie about this diet called 'Simply Raw' well hell, here is the trailer
