why is that? supposedly they are more cleaner than your average freshwater feeders when it comes to aquatic diseases right?

well squid isnt a part of their natural diet. just feed em silversides or smelt.

tried mine on squid, they just ignored it completly, taking out squid out of the tank which is starting to rot is totally minging

You won't need to soak it, the problem with feeding saltwater fish to freshwater fish is the different nutrient levels in each fish. It's a good snack, but you cannot expect it to do any good for the fish like a normal feeding does.

I feed it to my fish, bichirs included. They love it. Just remember to remove the ink sac!
