just went to the local pool supply store and bought the pool filter sand 350lbs of it. Its around $10 for a 50lbs bag

I quarantine my fish in a 150 gallon i have set up. I have a friend who works at the lfs and i get around 500 goldfish for near to nothing. I feed pinkies just for fun and occasional small mouse and yes they are live. filtration is wet dry sump. four 1 1/2 drains to separate Rubbermaid sumps with dart pump to a 1inch return, 3 stage filter with bio balls for my media. around 3600 gallons an hour is the sump turnover rate. I also have an xf-5 because you can never have to much filtration. here are some pics.

I thought to myself "I know how big retics are; that tank is WAY too small for the rest of the inhabitants." ...and then I saw the tank dimentions. Damn you've got a big retic! Nice tank.

Great looking great sean it come together quiet well. Its good to see some of my old fish putting on alot size in that tank. Keep it up man!
