IN YOUR HEAD
one of my rays has for the last few days been crusing the mid zone....it "flys" around the mid-tank till it touches something, then it moves back almost like it is taking a look at what it hit...then continues...it also goes up and down on the glass alot...it hovers and pokes its nose of the disc out of the water...it has gone almost completely upside down at the surface when crusing the top once...i think it is exploring the tank, but i do have a small feeling that it could be somthing more(due to the fact that after like 2 weeks of having them it just started now), the last time i had a second geuss i had a tsn get eatten...so i just want to be sure...it eats and looks heathy....any thoughts, is it normall or not...

i have added some salt just now cause my aro lost a scale and got a small scrape...and i figured if there was something bad with the ray the salt would be the next step for it anyway

im assuming you checked your water. have you noticed any discoloration on the disc? how is your other ray acting? do you have a strong current where he is swimming? and are any of your other fish in the tank rubbing against things?

my rays do this ALL the time .. more so when they are hungry .. my little one try's to get out of the water if i skip a feeding ..

i say ... if they are eating .. and moving .. and the water is clean .. your rays are just being rays

they love the bubbles and the output of the Fx5 ..

i think you should be fine then he looks good and fattend up. i think he is just feeling more comfortable. mine just started moving around a little bit more lately during the day instead of just the night.

well they mainly walk the bottom and stay buried unless its feeding time or dark then they are all over the place. but lately during the day they are starting to move around some more. also thats the reason i asked if any of the other fish were rubbing since mine came with fish lice.
