Looks like a orb to me too, I would at the very least stand that heater straight up so it is harder for the ray to rest on it. But you should get a cover for it ASAP burns are very common

It looks like he has "eyebrows" which is an orb trait but I am no expert at ray ID :(

I see what could be an eyebrow on one side, but because the other side is covered in sub, we don't know if there is a semi-symmetrical marking over the other eye. That tannish color over sort of a purple grey is retic-like. Clean pics please!
