Ray ID

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Well, if you're asking for an ID it's obviously a "Mantilla". As I was brought up on anything we can't ID is a "Mantilla"

My guess is Hentoro.

{<- anxiously awaiting enlightenment}

IMO it looks like a dark Scobina, could be an older ray and colors just got dark with age

If it is from the wild, then it is probably not a hybrid. i would guess scobina also. but it is probably an udescribed ray.

Pure Scobina....just a very nice locality variant.
For me this is no different to say a top quality Marble compared to an average one or a BD compared to a nice Leo.....just a top example of the species.The body shape is that of Scobina,the belly spotting is characteristic of Scobina and the multiple spines also run true to the species.....this is why i say Scobina.
Regards!
