Can anyone Identify this ray? I purchased her a couple of days ago. She is very skinny but eating bloodworms like a champ. This should help fatten her up until she'll take nightcrawlers. I have no idea what this could be. Perhaps mantilla or hybrid of some sort. I was told this ray came in a Columbian order.

I would say a Pearl too. I hope all goes well in feeding and its' health. Best Wishes.:)

I appologize for the crappy pics. This ray never stops moving! The small spots in its pattern are black while the rest of the pattern is a dark grey colour on an almost gold background. I paid 2x what the average 7" motoro would cost in Canada. Nice rays are scarce around here so I jumped at the oppertunity to purchase something different. It is going on its fourth day in captivity and still eating bloodworms, it also ate a small piece of earthworm (nightcrawler) last night. Thanks for your opinions, hopefully someone can give me a solid identification of her or....... perhaps only time will tell ;)

i would say its a motoro

I am thinking Motoro variant, possibly Mantilla.. Either way, it's a damn nice ray!

He will accept nightcrawlers if you chop them up in 1/2 inch chunks I bet ;) They will help put on weight faster then bloodworms, they are much more nutritional..

It is not a tiger or a pearl. It is a very nice ray. Good pick up.

Most likely a motoro variant. They are commonly called mantilla.

That is going to be a very good looking adult.
