Ray Identification

Well shes eating earthworms and competing for food just fine with her tankmates. I have her housed with a 12" motoro and a 10" leo. It's nice to see that she's coming around

I would say it is a Mantilla ray (potamotrygon sp.) from Peru.

I just occurred to me that I have never seen an adult mantilla (15"+). They are always in the 6-7" range.

That pattern will be great at full size.

Thanks for all of your opinions. After days of searching the internet (after years of searching the internet) I've come to the conclusion it's a mantilla of some sort. I've found similar species on asian webpages listed as "magic beam" or "potamotrygon sp. ?". She is eating well, readily taking chopped smelt, earthworm etc. I will update pics as soon as I get around to replacing the battery in my camara.
