Ray Poo on Pellets

I have got a decent airtight tub and mixed in massivore, carnivore, Hikari sinkers (large and small) and feed this as a good staple.

I then also use Mussel, Smelt, Krill Superba (large shrimps), normal Krill, Bloodworm etc...(oh yes, and the odd worm too)

I have found that Massivore is the smelly stuff, even if I net it out just after the poop and then wash out the net it all still smells for a day or so after.

I have had a very similiar observation with the Mazuri 5C8X Shark and Ray Gel. I am currently tracking the amount of gel (approxiamte size of chunk) per ray per feeding in order to optimize the nutrition in.......and out. As an amateur observer my opinion is that the excess waste is the nutrients they (rays) do not need or are unable to completely digest and adsorb. Much like when we humans consume more vitamins then needed, we pee them out and get fun color urine.

I am slowly scaling back on my portions and number of feedings each day.
