If I'm not mistaken, that is a retic??

I'm VERY interested in seeing responses to this thread. Thats exactly ONE of the things mine was doing before I lost him. Other symptoms were swimming erratically around the tank, seemingly with no control. When moving across the bottom, it almost looked like he had a "limp" He would also at times roll his disc down creating a hood shape, but far more than usual as when they are feeding.

That doesn't look like what I'm familiar with when it comes to death curl. I've only seen it once, but she curled and would NOT be able to put her disc back down flat. Of course, check the water parameters. With mine, my retic was acting like this while my two hystrix were absolutely fine. My water checked great with each test I did.

Owner says parameters are fine, he latest ate yesterday, tankmate (1 cichla) fine, and everything looks as should be.
He told me that looks like he wants to poop but he cant and has difficulties while breathing.Very slow breath.
This is happening about 3 hours now....please, any suggestions?

"Fine" to one might not be "fine" to another... got any idea on Ammonia, Nitrite, Nitrate, pH, temp ??? Oxygen level in the tank would be nice as well, but I know most people don't have a DO meter laying around.

It's a 125 gallon tank with just 2 juv fish in there whose not eating much...
He has external fluval and air pump too.
Latest water change was 2 days ago.
[i just bring the infos, i understand..]

Yeah it's a reticulatus.
I've send him for a water change and some salt...i hope we save this lil guy..
